Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees undergraduate or graduate degree programs.
- Advises students on major and graduation requirements; suggests alternatives they may not have considered.
- Responds to inquiries and complaints from faculty and students which requires interpretation of policies and procedures.
- Investigates student concerns and recommends appropriate course of action.
- Serves as point of contact for faculty and students concerning practical implementation of educational policy and procedures; may recommend educational policy change.
- Responds to inquiries from prospective students regarding degree requirements.
- Advises department chair and director regarding policies and procedures.
- Administers student online registration, tracks students' progress toward the degree, and verifies requirements have been completed.
- May manage one or more academic programs, evaluate program data and prepare publications.
- Researches, compiles data, and writes reports for accreditation purposes.
- Typically monitors and reconciles program budget and approves expenditures.
- May oversee the disbursement of student stipends and grant awards.
- May hire, train, and supervise student assistants, and monitor time and attendance.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to the department's or program's area of specialty or a related field and two years of experience in student admissions, financial aid, registration or a related field, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
