Requires some on-call.Fully Remote schedule availableJob SummaryIn this position, the candidate will provide pharmaceutical care to patients requiring infused medications through the UK Specialty Pharmacy. Responsibilities include serving as the primary liaison between the UK Specialty Pharmacy and UK’s infusion centers; ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy is implemented for all patients in their care and monitoring care appropriately. Will also facilitate the formulary review process for infused medications; participate in appropriate hospital and/or departmental committees relevant to practice area; assume responsibility for supervising PharmD students, technicians, and undergraduate and graduate student teachers; and provide educational programs for hospital staff. Establish safe practices for infusion therapy handling, as well as collaborating and communicating with multidisciplinary team members involved in providing services to patients.
