- Clinical Fellow in Demyelination and Autoimmune Neurology NHS Medical & Dental: Senior Clinical Fellow
Description
The successful applicant will join a busy national NMOSD, MS and autoimmune neurology service, with additional exposure to antibody mediated central nervous system disorders and paediatric demyelination. The post is primarily clinical, but there are extensive opportunities for academic involvement, including the Autoimmune Neurology Group at the University of Liverpool.
Applicants will be encouraged and supported to pursue original research. Prior experience with academic writing or publications is highly desirable. Mentorship in grant writing, abstract development, and paper authorship will be provided. Fellows are expected to contribute to the academic output of the service.
Requirements
Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellowship in Neurology with a subspecialist focus on neuroimmunology and demyelinating disorders, particularly neuromyelitis optica spectrum disease (NMOSD) and MOG antibody associated disease (MOGAD). The post is based at the Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust, the UK’s busiest standalone neurosciences hospital, and one of two nationally commissioned centres for NMOSD in England. The service is delivered in partnership with the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. This post is also accredited as an Advanced Clinical Training Fellowship (ACTF) in MS and non-MS neuroinflammation.
