The Role:
As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Clinical Lead provides high-level clinical leadership and operational support to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health services for older persons. Working closely with the Team Leader, this role focuses on strategic development, resource management, and driving service improvements aligned with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, National Mental Health Standards, and relevant legislation.
- Leadership & Strategic Direction: Guide the development and management of a comprehensive multidisciplinary community mental health team.
- Resource & Change Management: Oversee human and physical resources and lead change initiatives to implement models of care and service policies.
- Clinical Excellence: Ensure optimal clinical processes, improved client outcomes, and promote consumer and carer participation at all levels of service delivery.
You will need:
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively undertake a coordination/leadership role within a multidisciplinary community setting, including providing supervision and support to other staff as required.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, and a capacity to contribute towards the introduction of the model of care within a community setting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to manage and coordinate the clinical activities of a multidisciplinary community mental health team, with the ability to assist the Team Leader in relation to the effective management of human and physical resources

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Salary: $123,717 to $134,336 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022
Salary Packaging :
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Allowances:
Please note that access to salaries beyond $130,900 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
• Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
Minimum of 3 years’ postgraduate clinical experience in the context of a community mental health team
