Description:Nexus Family Healing - Woodbourne is looking to hire a Clinical Supervisor to join our team!
At Nexus-Woodbourne, we provide children and youth (ages 0-21) that have a mental health diagnosis involving severe emotional and behavioral problems, safe, specially equipped foster homes that have the skills and resources to meet their complex needs.

Pay and Schedule:
- Full-time onsite opportunity
- Location: 21301 Woodbourne Ave, Baltimore, MN
- Starting at $90k-$100k based on years of experience and credentials

Position Summary: Our Clinical Supervisor oversees, leads, and develops staff and manages daily operations within the service area, through effective leadership, communication, organization, and planning. This role is responsible for collaboratively meeting budgeted census projections while providing leadership to the Clinical team.
Primary responsibilities
Clinical Planning & Service Delivery
- Develops, implements, and maintains clinical policies, procedures, and systems that support effective service delivery aligned with Nexus guidelines.
- Fosters a trauma-informed care environment; builds a positive clinical culture and implements needed changes to support success.
- Makes daily operational decisions, problem-solves, and provides hands-on direction to staff to maintain a healthy clinical environment.
- Contributes to organizational vision and strategic initiatives, guiding staff toward agency goals.
- Monitors client treatment, identifies improvement opportunities, and evaluates potential risks within the service area.
- Collaborates with leadership on long-term clinical strategy and process improvements.
Clinical Strategy
- Partners with CQI to assess service and performance data and identify trends, risks, outcomes, and compliance opportunities.
- Maintains oversight of clinical processes, team performance, and service outcomes; may provide direct individual, family, or group therapy as needed.
- Engages clients and families, facilitating communication and support.
- Identifies training needs and coordinates required training with Nexus home office.
- Regularly reviews staff performance, client needs, and service requirements.
Service & Treatment Plans
- Participates in evaluation of prospective clients and ensures staff readiness for service expectations.
- Oversees development and implementation of service and treatment plans.
- Ensures assessments meet established standards and licensing requirements.
- Ensures documentation is accurate, timely, confidential, and professionally maintained.
Employee Selection, Training & Performance Evaluation
- Participates in interviewing and hiring; orients, mentors, and develops staff in alignment with organizational and licensing standards.
- Supports staff skill development related to service planning, treatment planning, and documentation.
- Provides ongoing feedback and conducts meaningful performance evaluations.
- Models and reinforces Nexus philosophy and treatment modalities.
- Consults with HR regarding performance improvement and corrective actions.
Staff Monitoring & Service Area Policy
- Ensures confidentiality of client information and adherence to Nexus policies on privacy and boundaries.
- Communicates professionally with compassion, respect, and cultural awareness.
- Monitors compliance with safety and health standards for staff, clients, and the facility; identifies and resolves safety concerns.
- Conducts regular inspections of service areas and client records.
- Demonstrates respect for diversity across all identities and backgrounds.
Participates in the development and accountability of the budget.
Requirements:Required Education and Licensure
- Master's degree in Social Services, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or clinically related field required
- Must hold a minimum of a LCSW-C, LCPC, PHD licensure
- Must be a Maryland Board approved Supervisor of either Maryland Professional Counselors OR Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners.
- Experience in adolescent, adult, and family-based behavioral counseling and/or clinical experience required.
- Valid driver's license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Five (5) years' experience in adolescent, adult, and family-based behavioral counseling and/or residential experience preferred.
- Two (2) years supervisory experience preferred.
