About the role
As a Health & Clinical Management Consultant (Consulting Principal), you will make an impact by leading strategic engagements and shaping digital health solutions that improve clinical outcomes and patient experiences. You will be a valued member of our Public Sector & Health Consulting team, working collaboratively with senior stakeholders, delivery teams, and clients across the public and private healthcare sectors.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and deliver high-impact consulting engagements across hospitals, government health departments, and private health providers.
- Apply clinical expertise to inform solution design, product development, and transformation initiatives.
- Drive product strategy and lifecycle management for digital health solutions, ensuring alignment with clinical workflows and regulatory frameworks.
- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a strategic advisor.
- Mentor and guide junior consultants, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Sydney or Melbourne. What you must have to be considered
- Strong consulting experience, ideally within a top-tier consulting firm or health-focused consultancy.
- Clinical background (e.g., medicine, nursing, allied health) with experience in clinical practice or clinical operations.
- Proven experience in health product management, including strategy, design, and delivery of digital health solutions.
- Deep understanding of the Australian healthcare ecosystem, including public and private health systems, funding models, and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Postgraduate qualifications in health administration, public health, business, or related fields.
- Experience working with government health departments or large health service providers.
- Familiarity with emerging health technologies (e.g., AI in healthcare, digital therapeutics, virtual care).
