Immunologist at the Legorreta Center Clinical Transplant Tolerance (LCCTT)
At the MGH Legorreta Center for Clinical Transplantation Tolerance (LCCTT), clinical trials aimed at inducing transplant organ tolerance are currently in progress. Real-time immunological monitoring, the development of novel immunological assays, and the identification of tolerance biomarkers are integral to achieving immunological tolerance. We are also collaborating with multiple investigators both within and outside the institution to conduct mechanistic studies on tolerance.
An immunologist at LCCTT will oversee all immunological assays and related collaborations. This position also offers eligibility for an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor.
Job Description:
- Lead real-time immunological monitoring, including lymphocyte subset analysis and chimerism detection using flow cytometry (FCM) or CyTOF.
- Develop and validate novel immunological assays and biomarkers to define and assess transplant tolerance.
- Conduct independent research on immunological tolerance within the MGH Center for Transplantation Sciences (CTS), supported by competitive research grants.
- Provide mentorship and training to research fellows at CTS.
Requirements: PhD degree
Credentials:
- Research experience as a postdoc > 3 years.
- Deep knowledge in cellular and molecular immunology
- Familiar with various immunological assays.
