- Internal Occupational Health Manager

Job Summary
Under the direction of the medical director and occupational health leadership team, the Internal Occupational Health Manager leads a multidimensional team of occupational health nurses, licensed practical nurses, medical assistants and office assistants at multiple sites/hospitals in the delivery of integrated occupational health services to the staff of Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin.
This individual will be responsible for assuring the effective and efficient coordination of department functions including pre-placement physicals, medical surveillance, work injury care, exposure follow up, and other staff-related health and safety programs. This position is responsible for the development of and adherence to department budgets and is accountable for process improvement strategies. Other duties as assigned.

Experience
- A minimum of five years’ experience in occupational health nursing or other comparable experience is required.
- Experience in a leadership role is required.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing is required.
- Master's degree in nursing is preferred.
Special Skills Description:
- Knowledge of current occupational health best practices, applicable laws and regulations.
- Analytical skills and judgment necessary to resolve complex issues and to create and implement effective programs across the organization.
- Effective interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with staff at all levels within the organization.
- Customer service orientation.
- Excellent organizational skills, including process/detail focus and demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion.
- Expertise in the use of computer programs including Word, spreadsheets, HR information systems, e-mail and use of the internet.
- Familiarity with case management programs.
Licensure:
- Requires current state of Wisconsin registered nurse license or a multi-state nursing license from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist (COHN-S) is preferred.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required.
