Clinical Therapist – Trauma-Informed Psychotherapy Practice

Brickel and Associates is a collaborative, trauma-informed psychotherapy practice dedicated to providing compassionate, strengths-based care. We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Therapist to join our team and provide outpatient individual, couple, family, and group therapy for older adolescents and adults.
Ideal candidates will bring clinical experience—and genuine enthusiasm—for working with maternal mental health, developmental and complex trauma, dissociation, addictions (substance-related and behavioral), adolescents, and couples.
Position Summary
The Clinical Therapist provides outpatient psychotherapy to clients referred by Brickel and Associates, LLC. Services include individual (older adolescents and adults), couple, family, and/or group therapy.
This position reports to the Owner and/or Clinical Director.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.
- Active, independent clinical license in the Commonwealth of Virginia (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, or LCPC).
- Availability to hold at least 12 client sessions per week, contingent upon referrals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a private practice setting.
- Minimum of three years post-licensure clinical experience.
- Experience providing trauma-informed, strengths-based therapy.
Hours & Schedule
Work hours are based on client and practice needs.
- Daytime, evening, and weekend hours are available.
- Each therapist must work at least one evening or weekend shift.
- Minimum commitment: 12 clinical hours per week, with opportunities to grow your caseload as desired.
- While a minimum number of patients is not guaranteed, therapists are expected to be available for at least 12 sessions weekly when referrals are provided.
All sessions are held on-site at Brickel and Associates, LLC.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site clinical counseling services in accordance with Brickel and Associates’ policies and within your professional scope of practice.
- Maintain current licensure and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical codes.
- Coordinate care with other providers (e.g., PCPs, psychiatrists, schools) as clinically appropriate.
- Complete all documentation required.
- Attend required staff meetings, consultations, and trainings.
- Demonstrate professionalism, collaboration, and respect in all interactions to support the positive reputation of the practice.
