Rate of Pay

$6,100.00-$6,870.00 Monthly

(Although the entire range is posted, this position starts at $6,100.00 per month.)

Job Summary

Performs individual assessments and treatments for those offenders identified to have mental health conditions while incarcerated in the Pueblo County Detention Facility. Identifies and implements mental health treatment services for the purpose of stabilizing incarcerated individuals, ensuring continuity of treatment and medications, and successful transition from incarceration into the community.

Requirements

Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, and a driver's license. Candidates must also have a minimum of 3 years of experience in mental health treatment or human services, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), andone of the following:

• Master's degree in counseling from a Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP) approved program or equivalent
• Master's degree in psychology, sociology or related field with a Doctorate Degree from a CACREP approved program or equivalent
• Master's degree in social work from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) approved program or equivalent

Additional Information

The selection process includes, but is not limited to, a panel interview. Prior to employment, candidates will complete a background investigation, polygraph examination, and physical examination to include a drug screen. The expected duration of the selection process will not normally exceed two months. Candidates not selected may reapply in the future. This position is grant funded.
