The Metropolitan Council is the regional planning agency for the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area providing essential services to our region: transportation, wastewater collection and treatment, growth and development of local communities, affordable housing programs, and regional park systems.
This position is eligible for hybrid (remote and onsite) teleworking.
The Occupational Health Manager provides leadership to Council directors, managers, supervisors, and employees regarding occupational health programs and services provided by the Council. Under the direction of the Senior Manager, this position leads the Occupational Health function and provides work direction, coaching, and supervision to the Occupational Health Specialists and Human Resources Assistants.
The incumbent will be responsible for the Disability Management program for all divisions of the Council, full-cycle program administration for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) reasonable accommodation process, and high-level Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) assistance to the Employee Resource Center, as needed.
Salary Range: $101,744 - $165,152 annual
Requirements
Any of the following combinations in completed education (degree field of study in Nursing, Occupational Health, Public Health, or a closely related field) and experience (managing an Occupational Health program in the areas of disability case management, including return to work, fitness for duty, and restricted duty; Americans with Disabilities Act [ADA]; AND Family Medical Leave Act [FMLA] designation and administration):
- Associate degree with eight or more years of experience, including three or more years of experience in a supervisory or management role
- Bachelor's degree with six or more years of experience, including three or more years of experience in a supervisory or management role
- Master's degree with four or more years of experience, including three or more years of experience in a supervisory or management role
