Description
The Institute for Engaged Learning (IEL) is situated in the Division of Undergraduate Education (DUE) . DUE serves as the catalyst for enhancing the quality of the undergraduate student experience while promoting on-time graduation for all undergraduate students at Indiana University (IU) Indianapolis. The IEL houses a variety of engaged learning divisions including First-Year Engagement, Student Engagement, and High-Impact Curricular Engagement (HICE).Job Summary
The High-Impact Curricular Engagement (HICE) Program Coordinator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and tracking all data related to HICE programs and providing logistical support to the HICE team. The position reports directly to the Executive Director of High-Impact Curricular Engagement.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of HICE programs including Institutes, Faculty Learning Communities, Communities of Practice, workshops, conferences, and faculty consultations in fulfilling the HICE strategic plan to embed experiential learning opportunities into 100 percent of undergraduate degree programs.
- Accurately manage, maintain, and track all data related to the HICE division of the IEL.
- Track and manage faculty engagement in HICE programs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and support to faculty and program participants, addressing questions and resolving issues to promote the success and retention of undergraduate students.
- Create, process, and track applications for HICE programs.
- Process program participation and completion awards for HICE programs.
- Assist with coordinating HICE events including venue logistics, catering, promotion, and attendee registration.
- Assist with administrative needs related to the daily operations, planning, and implementation of the HICE office. Perform duties such as answering phones and email, delivering messages and mail, and scheduling.
- Serve as a liaison to campus partners for cross-departmental faculty services initiatives: schedule planning meetings, secure space reservations, provide information, and collect/record necessary documentation.
- Support students, faculty, and staff by acting as a key resource, analyzing data, preparing reports, and providing essential documentation to aid in their success.
- Provide directions, support, and information to visitors in the IEL.
- Assist with the preparation and dissemination of handouts, presentations, or other materials as needed.
- Assist with ordering or creation of promotional materials for HICE.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and at other campus locations for meetings and events. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary
$21.00 - $23.50 per hour, based on experience
Work Hours
20 - 27 hours per week.
