Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
UHC Minimum:
• Bachelor's degree in public health, Epidemiology, Social/Behavioral Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years previous work in public health, college health, or population health.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
UHC Preferred:
• Experience in integrated care settings or college health.
Position Summary
The Population Health and Experiential Learning Coordinator is a non-clinical role that advances UHC's prevention, wellbeing, and preparedness and response efforts through population health-focused program coordination and operational support for student learning experiences. The position collaborates across all UHC departments and campus partners to improve campus health and well-being while supporting student learners from all disciplines with a primary emphasis on the College of Nursing.

- Familiarity with infectious disease readiness planning (non-clinical, operational support)
- Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills; able to influence without authority.
- High attention to detail; strong documentation and project management habits.
- Data fluency: ability to translate data into clear insights and practical recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication; presentation skills.
- Sound judgment around confidentiality, privacy, and responsible data handling.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with flexibility and attention to detail.
- Computer skills required to include Windows, Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.

- Active throughout the 8-hour workday to include typical busy medical office/clinic demands, including walking, standing, sitting, reaching, typing, bending, talking, listening, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 20 pounds.

Population Health Program Coordination
- Partner with clinical and operational departments to identify priority student well-being needs and develop measurable, population-focused strategies aligned with UHC , Student Affairs, and UGA strategic priorities.
- Provide program coordination, monitoring, and improvement support for population health initiatives such as:
- Immunization compliance
- STI screening initiatives
- PrEP awareness and linkage to services
- Smoking/vaping cessation referral pathways and support
- Diabetes prevention/metabolic health supports (screening, referral, education, follow-up)
- Exercise, art, and nature for health and well-being
- Lead quality improvement initiatives using structured methodologies (process mapping, PDSA cycles, root cause analysis) to improve outcomes, access, experience, and operational reliability.
- Build meaningful student involvement in population health work through structured clinical experiences, internships, and other experiential learning opportunities.
- Represent UHC on interdisciplinary committees, including serving as a member of the Complex Care/Integrated Care Team, PATH Committee, and Student Affairs Data Review Team.
- Collaborate with other Well-being units to identify population health priorities

Student Intern/Employee Oversight
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate student interns/student employees supporting population health programs, evaluation, and improvement work.
- Develop intern role descriptions, learning objectives, workflows, deliverables, and documentation standards.
- Ensure required onboarding and compliance for student team members (privacy, data handling, and IRB processes when applicable).
- Develop pathways for student-led contributions (with staff oversight) such as peer outreach, resource connection support, data cleaning/validation, and program development.
- Lead development and implementation of a student-led community health worker model focused on student-to-student education, navigation, and connection to campus/community resources aimed at addressing population health concerns.

School of Nursing Clinical Site Liaison
- Serve as UHC's primary liaison to the School of Nursing to coordinate learning opportunities for nursing students at UHC .
- Collaborate with School of Nursing leadership/faculty, UHC's Position Management and Credentialing Specialist, and UHC operational/clinical leaders to design and maintain learning experiences aligned with UHC workflows and student learning objectives.
- Coordinate logistics for student placements/learning experiences, including scheduling, orientation requirements, compliance training, and evaluation/feedback loops (as applicable).
- Identify and cultivate opportunities for nursing students to participate in population health and quality-related projects (e.g., immunization compliance outreach, research, prevention initiative support, program evaluation, patient navigation/connection-to-resources workflows).

Infection Disease Preparedness & Response Support
- In coordination with senior leadership and the Infection Prevention Coordinator, support readiness planning for infectious disease events affecting campus.
- Provide operational and analytic support during elevated risk periods, including situational dashboards, trend monitoring (as data sources allow), workflow documentation, and after-action reporting.
- Support cross-department coordination for non-clinical outbreak response functions (e.g., tracking, operational task coordination, communications support materials, and improvement follow-up).
- Participate in drills and improvement cycles following events to strengthen readiness and response processes.
- Participate in Quality & Performance Excellence workgroups and infectious disease planning groups as assigned.
