The Program Coordinator for International Programs position is responsible for a variety of administrative duties in the Office of Belonging and Inclusion to support international student programming, student organizations, and the development of global leadership programs.

The Global Ties program is committed to welcoming our new undergraduate international students into Pitt's campus community and fostering a true sense of belonging and support. Global Ties was created as a means to cultivate a more inclusive campus for undergraduate international students in a manner that is relevant and specific to their needs. This position assists to prepare for intercultural training and workshops for international students for their smoother transition and for staff and faculty to better understand international students' needs and backgrounds. The position works closely with students to support retention efforts including recruitment, training, and assessment. The position attends and supports a wide range of other activities, events, and programs for international students and the campus and broader community. This position advises student organizations such as Asian Student Alliance, Chinese American Student Association, Filipino Student Association, Japanese Student Association, Korean Student Association, and Vietnamese Student Association.
NOTE: This position is offered as a fixed-term contract for two years. Following the completion of this term, the role will be reviewed to assess its continuation based on organizational funding, requirements and needs.
Job Summary
Manages, develops, and implements enrichment programs for students. Evaluates and improves programs and ensures adherence to regulations, guidelines, and curriculum standards. Develops support materials to promote enrichment programs.
Essential Functions
• Manages, develops, and implements enrichment programs for students, including those focused on art, physical activity, volunteering, and/or leadership opportunities.
• Evaluates and analyzes existing programs; compares existing programs to student needs; researches and devises improvements and additional programs to eliminate deficiencies and/or gaps in programming.
• Collaborates effectively with community constituents as well across departments and units within the University for program development, new initiatives, and student enrichment program success.
• Prepares associated budget; maintains budget. Prepares reports as needed.
• Ensures all programming is in adherence to curriculum standards and University guidelines and regulations.
• Develops written and online support materials for students and applicable faculty to promote enrichment programs.
Physical Effort
Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Hiring Range: $44,000-$45,000
