This position is Onsite. As the Supervisor of Medical & Clinical Operations you will coordinate, supervise and be accountable for the daily activities of central registration department. You will assist the manager of patient access, as needed.
This position is full-time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime with flexibility to be on-call for weekend/evening hours.
This will be on the job training and the hours during training will be aligned with your schedule.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensures that adequate phone coverage is in place at all times; primary liaison with after-hours service to maintain coverage.
- Reviews and appropriately approves requests for PTO for all staff under their supervision to meet business needs.
- Continually monitors staff attendance and task performance using observation, call monitoring and formal audit tools.
- Conducts at least quarterly 1:1 with all staff under their supervision.
- Sets daily priorities for the team to ensure timely completion and adherence with department timelines and guidelines.
- Produces reports related to non-clinical tasks, as needed.
- Develops plans to meet short and long term department needs and objectives.
- Identifies and resolves operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment.
- Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, business plan and supervising Manager.
- Acts as the primary liaison with supervisors in other areas of business i.e. Continuity of Care, Member Services, IS, etc.
- Product, service or process decisions are most likely to impact individual employees and/or customers (internal or external).

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- 2+ years of in-person customer service experience
- 1+ years of experience working as a supervisor/manager or team lead
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word (create and edit correspondence), Microsoft Excel (ability to create, edit, and sort spreadsheets) and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management) or Google equivalent.
- Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer applications and apply their use
- Ability to work full time onsite at 489 State St. Bangor, ME 04401, Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center
- Ability to work any shift between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm from Monday - Friday with flexibility to be on - call for weekend / evening hours based on business need
- Full Flu vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate Flu booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with medical or health terminology
- Healthcare customer experience
- Healthcare or insurance benefits experience
- Experience in sales or collections
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $58,800 - $105,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
