Our Clinical Costing Manager will lead the continual development and embedding of Patient Level Information and Costing Systems (PLICS) across one of the most unique healthcare systems in the British Isles.

Operating outside the NHS but aligned to its best practice, this is a rare opportunity to shape costing methodologies across health, ambulance and social care within a single system. You’ll take ownership of the PLICS strategy and set workplans, developing and improving costing models, strengthening data quality, and producing insightful analysis that informs service performance, strategic decision making and longterm financial sustainability.

Working with finance, digital and operational leaders, you’ll provide expert interpretation of complex costing data, benchmark services internally and externally, and support business cases, service redesign and performance improvement. This largely autonomous role is ideal for an experienced costing accountant ready to lead, influence and embed patientlevel costing at scale.

Requirements

You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIPFA or equivalent) with strong experience as a subject matter expert in healthcare costing, including PLICS or service line reporting, and someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys influencing at senior level, and is motivated by the opportunity to have visible, system wide impact.
