We are seeking a Clinical Risk Manager to support the day-to-day operations and continued advancement of our Risk Management Program. Under the leadership of the Senior Clinical Risk Manager, this role partners across the organization to proactively identify, investigate, mitigate, and reduce risk while advancing patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support an integrated, proactive risk management and patient safety program, including system-wide risk identification, investigation, mitigation, and reduction activities
- Conduct root cause analyses and investigations for serious reportable and adverse events; ensure timely documentation, corrective actions, follow-up, and required regulatory reporting
- Analyze adverse events, claims, and safety data to identify trends, high-risk areas, and opportunities for quality and loss prevention improvements
- Serve as an internal consultant to leadership, committees, and departments on risk management, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives
- Support claims management, peer review processes, insurer collaboration, patient grievance review, and risk/safety education across the organization
- Support regulatory and accreditation readiness, including surveys, tracers, mock reviews, policy development, committee participation, and on-call risk management coverage
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or other health-related science required; Master’s degree preferred
- Current Massachusetts RN licensure required
- Minimum of 3 years of hospital or health system risk management experience
- CPHRM, CPPS, or CPHQ certification required within one year of hire
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis and reporting systems (Excel, RedCap, RL Datix preferred)
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of the organization
