- Clinical Supervisor - IL SALT - (Hybrid Remote in Illinois)
Description
Maximus is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join our Illinois SALT Team. This role involves day-to-day leadership and oversight for a team of assessors responsible for conducting in-person assessments for individuals with special and complex needs. The Supervisor ensures assessments are completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with contract requirements, while supporting staff in identifying individuals’ needs, strengths, preferences, and readiness for community-based services. This role works closely with contract leadership, shared services, and stakeholders to maintain quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.
This position requires up to 50% local travel within Cook County, Illinois, and surrounding areas.
About the program: The Illinois Screening and Assessment for Long-Term Settings (SALT) program, managed in partnership with Maximus and the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS), facilitates key assessments such as Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR), Supportive Living Program (SLP) assessments, Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) evaluations, and Follow-up visits (FUV) to ensure individuals receive appropriate long-term care placements based on their needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of employees through cultivation of a high performance team
- Ensure adequate staff coverage for assigned program area
- Serve as subject matter expert for identified area of program knowledge
- Ensure assigned team is meeting contract and individual SLA's, and related requirements
- Work with contract management and shared services to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies
- May attend client and stakeholder meetings
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum of two years of related experience
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field
- Minimum of two (2) years of social service experience
- Minimum of four (4) years of leadership and/or supervisory experience in a related field
- Must reside within the state of Illinois
- Willingness to travel throughout Cook County, Illinois and surrounding areas
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and support staff
Preferred Requirements:
- Supervisory experience in a clinical setting
- Experience conducting clinical assessments
- Experience working with the elderly population
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
