Description
Founding Clinical Leadership Opportunity | Pediatric Speech Therapy
Location: Celina, Texas
Schedule: Part-Time / Growth Opportunity
Weekdays: Approximately 4:00 PM–8:00 PM
Saturday: Daytime hours
Sunday: Closed
We are building a high-quality pediatric Speech and Occupational Therapy practice in Celina and are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial Speech-Language Pathologist to serve as our founding Speech Clinical Director.
This is not simply a traditional staff SLP position. We are looking for a clinician who wants to help build and lead a growing pediatric speech program while maintaining full professional authority over clinical care.
Our practice operates within an established child-focused sensory gym environment and offers access to private therapy rooms, sensory equipment, gross-motor spaces, administrative support, scheduling infrastructure, marketing support, and an existing community of families.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Speech Clinical Director will lead the clinical development of our Speech Therapy program and oversee a team that may include SLPs and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants.
Clinical Responsibilities
The Speech Clinical Director will have appropriate independent clinical authority over:
Speech and language evaluations
Development and approval of treatment plans
Clinical protocols and standards
Treatment recommendations
Clinical documentation
Case management
SLPA delegation and supervision
Quality assurance
Patient safety
Clinical discharge decisions
Leadership Responsibilities
Help establish the Speech Therapy program from launch
Develop efficient clinical workflows
Recruit, train, and supervise SLPAs as the program grows
Establish documentation and quality standards
Participate in clinical hiring decisions
Mentor therapy staff
Assist with program development and capacity planning
Collaborate with the Occupational Therapy Clinical Director
BUSINESS SUPPORT
You focus on clinical leadership.
Our management organization provides the nonclinical infrastructure needed to operate and grow the practice, including:
Fully equipped therapy rooms
Access to a large pediatric sensory gym
Administrative support
Scheduling
Marketing and community outreach
Technology infrastructure
Reception/customer service
Business operations
Equipment and facility management
Clinical decisions remain under the authority of appropriately licensed professionals.
PROFESSIONAL ENTITY / LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Because of the professional structure being developed for the Speech Therapy division, the selected Clinical Director may also have the opportunity to participate in the professional ownership and governance structure of the Speech Therapy entity, subject to applicable Texas licensing requirements and final legal structure.
The business and administrative infrastructure will be supported separately so the Clinical Director can concentrate primarily on professional leadership and patient care.
Details of the professional entity structure, succession arrangements, responsibilities, and compensation will be discussed transparently with qualified finalists
Requirements
IDEAL CANDIDATE
We would love to meet an SLP who:
Holds an active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license
Has strong pediatric experience
Meets applicable requirements to supervise SLPAs
Enjoys mentoring other clinicians
Values ethical, family-centered care
Is comfortable creating clinical systems and standards
Wants leadership rather than simply a caseload
Is interested in helping grow a pediatric therapy program
Values autonomy over clinical decisions
Is dependable, collaborative, and entrepreneurial
Experience with autism, developmental delays, AAC, articulation, receptive/expressive language, social communication, or sensory-related pediatric populations is highly desirable.
WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY IS DIFFERENT
You will not be expected to build a practice from an empty office.
The program is being developed inside an established pediatric environment with therapy rooms, sensory equipment, community visibility, administrative infrastructure, and an existing family-focused operation.
Our goal is to build a respected multidisciplinary pediatric practice where clinicians can provide excellent care without carrying the entire burden of running the business.
Competitive compensation will include clinical leadership responsibilities, with additional opportunities tied to supervision and growth.
We are looking for someone interested in becoming a meaningful long-term clinical leader—not simply filling available treatment hours.
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply with a résumé and a short introduction describing their pediatric experience and interest in clinical leadership.
