Practice Setting

• Inpatient care at Stafford Hospital and Mary Washington Healthcare Fredericksburg
• Rounding on assigned and unassigned patients
• Variable patient load per shift
• No responsibilities for supervising residents or Advance Practice Providers

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm
• On-call for new consults after hours
• No weekend coverage required

Cases and Procedures

• Evaluation of microscopic specimens
• Management of vascular access devices/central venous catheters
• Central line placement and intravenous medications
• Intrathecal administration of anti-infective agents

Requirements

• Board Eligible/Certified in Internal Medicine - Infectious Disease
• BLS certification is required
• Active Virginia license required (no IMLC acceptance)
• 90-day credentialing timeframe
