About the Role:
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Health Professional, to join the Adult Mental Health Day Service & Rehabilitation Unit You will be joining a dynamic and supportive team, who are passionate about positive patient outcomes.
Within this position, you will be coordinating and facilitating individual and group sessions that are recovery-focused interventions for patients who experience moderate to serve mental health conditions. You will also coordinate referrals for patients to access broader services within the Mental Health, Justice Health and Alcohol and Drug Services (MHJHADS) division. You will also be providing clinical supervision and training for Health Professionals, Allied Health Assistants and other support staff.
The successful candidate will possess advanced therapy skills with complex consumers and have strong interpersonal skills to build trust with patients. You will have strong communication skills to liaise with teams within the MHJHADS division to support to patients’ recovery. You will have previous experience working with mental health consumers and facilitating individual and group therapy.
A merit pool may be created from this recruitment process and remain valid for 12 months. This pool may be used to fill both permanent and temporary positions across CHS.

Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:
- Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
- Current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
- Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
- Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.
Note: This is a Part-time position (22.05), and the salary noted above will be paid pro-rata.
